Meet the founder

My name is Enrique, and I am the founder of Outpost Collective.

I started with a pretty simple idea. Coffee should be better than what most people have gotten used to.

Somewhere along the way, convenience took over. Coffee became something fast, cheap, and forgettable. We wanted the opposite of that. Something intentional. Something you actually look forward to making.

We work with single origin, organic, specialty coffee beans and roast everything to order in small batches here in Houston TX. Nothing sits around. Nothing gets mass produced and thrown on a shelf. If it’s in your hands, it was roasted for you, not for inventory.

We care a lot about where coffee comes from and even more about what happens to it once it gets here. Every roast is adjusted to highlight what’s already there, the sweetness, the structure, the character that makes each origin different.

Houston is a big part of this too. There’s a certain energy here, creative, a little rough around the edges, but full of people building things from scratch. That’s what this brand is about at its core.

We’re not trying to reinvent coffee. We’re just trying to slow it back down and bring some standards back into it.

Better sourcing. Fresher roasting. More care in the cup.

That’s really it.

Outpost Collective is coffee made with intention, from start to finish.

More than coffee

Outpost Collective is more than just a coffee roaster.

We’re building a space for conversation, craft, and collaboration, where coffee connects to the people and culture around it.

Look out for a growing series of interviews with creatives, curated coffee cuppings, and upcoming art collaborations that explore coffee as a cultural medium, not just a product.
